Since the day the news of Bollywood’s hit film ‘Dabangg’ being remade in to Tamil as ‘Osthe’ has broke out, the media has been going frenzy as to who will be the next ‘Munni’. The famous item track that proved pivotal in film’s success was the talk of the town and some of the biggest names of Indian film fraternities were linked to the song. While the original was rocked by Malaika Arora Khan, the item song in remake was toyed with several names like Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, etc, etc. However the confusion over the song finally comes to an end with the news of Mallika Sherawat’s confirmation for the song. It is now officially declared that Mallika will step in the big shoes of Malaika Arora Khan to do the jig as ‘Munni’.
The song might be crooned by Shruti Haasan and it will be composed by renowned south Indian musician Thaman.
